A Primary School in Cardiff are seeking to recruit a passionate and dedicated teacher to work within the Special Resourse Base for the last term of the school year and in the new academic year starting in September 2024. The school prides itself on providing a nurturing and inclusive environment to ensure all children are supported and reaching their potential. The ideal teacher must have experience teaching children with ALN and have the ability to work collaboratively with the teachers and teaching assistants in the base to ensure a positive school environment. The ideal teacher must be committed to the role, and plan and deliver lessons that are suited to the abillity of the children and in line with the school’s curriculum.

Role: Primary School Teacher (SRB)

Area: Cardiff

Pay (Per Day): £157.66

Start Date: June 2024

Hours: Full Time (Monday to Friday)

About the school:

The school has close proximity to the inner city of Cardiff and celebrates its diverse nature and community. Many pupils in the school have English as an Additional Language (EAL), therefore the teacher must be able to adapt to different needs and learning. The school’s mission is to deliver a fun learning environment with engaging lessons, to provide an excellent experience for the children inside and outside the classroom.

 

Requirement Criteria:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – The ideal teacher must hold a QTS and be a fully qualified or newly qualified teacher.

DBS and EWC – An enhanced child only DBS Certificate will be required that is on the DBS Update Service. 

Experience – It is desirable that the applicants have experience working within a Primary School in an SRB or working with children with ALN.

Classroom Management – The ideal teacher must have excellent classroom management and behavioural management skills, in order to maintain a positive school environment.

Passion for Education – A passion for teaching is required, and the school are looking for an enthusiastic and confident teacher when leading the class. Ability to maintain relationships with the staff, children and parents at the school s required.
